Pt England Dress Rehearsal

Yesterday on Monday we enjoyed watching a Pt England rehearsal. Most of the Room 12 students went to watch the performance. Our school was one of the first schools to get there but then Glenbrae came as well as Puau school. When all the schools had settled down they slowly switched the lights off. They called the show Cindy in the House. We were laughing and giggling. The performance came to an end and we headed back off to school.

Thank you Myron Simpson

A few weeks ago a cyclist came and his name was Myron Simpson. He came in to talk to us about reading and how it is important. He also brought his very interesting bike, his training shoes, helmet and training suit. Myron showed us his new muesli bar business. After he talked to us a prefect from our class thanked him for coming.

Being Proud

Everyone crowded, pushing each other while trying to fit through our school gate. After all the pushing and bumping each other we finally made it through the front gate. During the time we were running we could feel the pressure and perspiration occurring on our bodies. Everyone cheering while coming through to the finish line, we felt relieved. At the end of the day we were all proud of ourselves and others who tried their best.

Mikayla at 1st place
Ofa at 2nd place

Origami

For the past few Fridays we have been learning how to do origami for our Visual Arts. Mrs Golder chose three students to show every one how to make them. Students began with making butterflies and dinosaurs. Then they all had a go at making harder things on their own like rabbits, turtles, hearts and others. We were all proud that each and every one of us made one and completed it.

Daffodil Day

Screenshot 2015-09-02 at 10.37.56 AM.pngOn Friday the 31st of August it was Daffodil Day. In the afternoon we had to go to a special assembly in the multiple purpose room. Most children in our school donated a gold coin to get a daffodil from Mrs Vickers.
Later that day we had to make  our own daffodils out of paper. Our teacher had to decide which daffodil was the best to be sent up to the office.
