Dear Diary:

Today has been a very bad day because I had just found out that

I have lost my bedroom to Becca and she filled it with

pink things.

I wish she wasn't part of this family.

My mum and Brian have to talk about getting a bedroom for each of us because it isn't fair.

I went to the car park and gave Jack some alcohol that I found in the garage. It was Brian's, he has been keeping it in the garage.

And I told Becca to do my homework and she said, "NO." I was so annoyed.

P.E At St Kent's

On Friday some students from rooms 9,10,11 and 12 came early and were allowed to go in the van with the St Kent's teacher and Mrs Shortland. But for students that came a bit later on theywent on the bus.

Before we were allowed to hop on the bus we had to find out what teams we were in. After  we sorted out the teams we headed out to the bus. As soon as we got onto the bus the bus driver drove off. Then we arrived at St Kent's College and walked with our groups to the hall. As we walked into the hall we saw the other group leaders.

The St Kent's leaders were sitting on the benches waiting to take their groups. We were with Wesley and he was teaching us how to play basketball. First off we practised passing to each other. We tried other passes as well as bounce pass and chest pass.

After learning how to pass in different ways we were allowed to play a game of basketball. We had to learn how to dribble on the court. We had to get into two groups and verse each other. It was a fun game.

After the game we had the other students come onto the basketball court. All of us sat on the floor waiting for the other classes to arrive. Soon after they arrived. Then we said to them, "Thank you." Then we left.We walked to the bus and hopped in.Then we rode back to school.

The Deadliest Night

25 March 1915

Dear Aunty Emma

We landed in Gallipoli on the 25th of April. It was a dark and a dreadful night. Guns were shooting all over the place.

Suddenly after hours of fighting we found a place to build our trenches and they were 6 x 5 feet. When we walked out of our trenches we shot loads of  Turkish soldiers who were waiting outside for us. We saw that they had killed thousands of our people. We climbed back into our trenches to go to sleep but we couldn’t because we were being attacked by the enemies.

We got out our rockets, tanks and machine guns. We started the battle, we fought for our lives. Hundreds of the Turkish soldiers died and were killed. But a lot of our soldiers were killed and injured.

I was frightened of how many of our soldiers died and  were injured, but I was more scared that I was going to be one of them.

Kia orana, my name is Mikayla. I am a year eight student at Ruapotaka School. I was born and raised in Auckland. I have dark brown hair and light brown eyes. I am a Niuean. I like playing soccer, running in athletics, art, shopping and swimming. I have 5 siblings: three sisters and two brothers. I am also the second youngest in my family.   

Trying To Become Santa

(Summary)

Every November since 2001,teams of the jolly men from all over the globe have gathered them into Switzerland to complete the santa claus world championship.The pretend santas are challenged with 10 tasks.The Santa Claus world champion wins a 7,000 dollar prize.

(Opinion)

I think that the Santa Claus competition sounds really cool.I think that the adults that are trying to be Santa want to be it because they win money.

Record Breaking Christmas Display!

(Summary)

Australian lawyer, David Ricards set the Guinness World Record for the largest Christmas light display when he decorated his house with more than half a million bulbs.

(Opinion)

I think that having lots of lights like that would not only be cool but really expensive.I would like to see the lights in real life.

The World's Largest Treadmill!

(Summary)

A new giant treadmill was created by Oxford Fitness in Chile.It can hold up to about 10 runners at a time.The treadmill is 4 times bigger then the average treadmill.The buttons that make the treadmill work are so high that the runners that go on it will have to use a ladder to reach the buttons.

(Opinion)

I think that having a giant treadmill will be awesome.I hope they get into the Guinness World Record Book.
